Various Willow Workshops in 2021, old favourites and new, midweek and weekends, for adults and families. NEW Gardening Workshops and venues. All suitable for beginners unless specifies. Live Zoom Online

  • Sunday 7th February -  Woven Willow Heart £35 per pack sent out a few days prior to the Zoom workshop, all pre-prepared and ready to weave with. The Zoom workshop will be 1-3.30pm with step by step tuition and low numbers to ensure everyone gets support.

  • Sun 23rd Feb - Willow Woven Obelisk, ideal for growing sweet peas and beans in the garden, £45, 12noon - 3.30pm
  • Tues 3rd and Weds 4th March - Traditional English Round Medium Willow Woven Basket, a traditional style and over two days a larger basket can be made with or without handles. £105 for the two days, 10.15am - 4pm
  • Sun 8th Mar - Willow Hearts and Flowers, treat for Mothers Day? Suitable for the home or garden, £35, 12-3.30pm
  • April to September workshops cancelled due to Covid 
  • Sat 24th October - Rush Mats and boxes, attractive and useful around the home and soft on the hands £35, 12.30 - 3.30pm
  • Thurs 5th November Round Foraging Basket/Tray suitable for gathering herbs, flowers or to display a flower arrangement, 10.30 - 4pm, £55
  • Sat 7th November - Make a mini willow Reindeer to decorate your home this Christmas, suitable for an adult or child accompanied by an adult, 1-3pm, £15 per person
  • Sat 12th December - Christmas Willow Decorations - A favourite in the run up to Christmas, treat yourself to a crafty afternoon making wreaths, stars, trees or angels and greens to decorate the home, 12.30-3.30pm, £35

  • Sun 15th Mar - Willow Hare or Animal Sculpture, such as a dog, bird or sheep suitable for the garden or inside the home, £75, 9am - 5pm

  • ​Sunday 13th December - Christmas Willow and Rush Decorations, Angels, Garlands, wreaths, stars, trees and reindeer, you decide and I will demonstrate how to make your chosen items at this lovely venue in Lytham.

  • Sunday 5th July - Square trug making - ideal for gathering herbs or flowers 10am - 3.30pm
  • Saturday 15th August - Garden Obelisks - make these sturdy structures suitable for a range of climbing plants and archtectural additions to your garden, 2-4.30pm
  • Sunday 8th November - Make a willow 3foot Stag Sculpture or Stag Mounted Head workshop, decorative additions to the home and garden, can be decorated with lights for Christmas
  • Sunday 15th November - an opportunity to Make a Round basket with Foraged Embelishments such as ivy, 9am - 5pm, £70pp
  • Saturday 21st November - an opportunity to Make a Willow Obelisk for the garden in preparation for spring growing or to use as a an alternative to a Christmas tree decoration, 10am to 12.30pm, £48
  • Saturday 5th December - a family activity in the run up to Christmas to Make small Willow Reindeers and Stars, 10am - 12noon, £30 per family (max 4 people)

NEW FAMILY VENUE for 2020 - Cherry Lodge Childcare, Cherry Tree in Blackburn, a spacious and welcoming venue especially suitable for families (children accompanied by an adult please)
  • Saturday 19th December - Making simple Christmas decorations for the home and garden such as stars and wreaths, suitable for all ages 11am - 12noon, £15 per family (maximum 3 per family)
  • Saturday 19th December - Willow Christmas Decorations such as spheres, snowmen, angels and reindeer, suitable for all crafters of all ages, 1-4pm, £35 per family (maximum 3 per family and each family group can make one large decoration and a small decoration per person)

  • Sat 19th Jan - Table Top Willow, 10am-4pm £60 The workshop will introduce how to weave willow to make shapes such as hearts, fish, balls, stars and circles to make into hangings or mobiles to decorate the home and garden. 
  • Sat 6th April - Plastics to Project, 10am-4pm £60 A full day workshop to recycle your plastic bottles and tetra paks and make them into decorative flowers, wind spinners, animals and small baskets.
  • Sat 6th July - Herb Crafts, 10am-4pm £60 Using flowers and herbs from the garden to make traditional scented pot-pourri bags, woven lavender wands, homemade scented paper decorated with petals and floral soaps to pamper the senses.
  • Sat 5th October - Introduction to Rag Rugging, 10am–4pm £60 Turn your rags into something traditional and lovely for the home. A full day workshop to cut up old clothes / fabric and make into plaited and woven rag rugs to use as table mats, cushion covers and small floor mats.

A mix of formal and informal training and workshops have been undertaken with various organisations including numerous Primary and Secondary Schools, Prospects Environment Centre, Lancashire Wildlife Trust, Mercer House 1842, Darwen Library Craft group and Action Factory, Cronkshaw Fold Farm, Workers Education Association, Growing Wild Community Allotment, My Life, Faiths 4 Change, The Bridge Centre, The Base, Hyndburn Homes, Climate Friendly Food, Haworth Art Gallery.
