Workshops

A selection of half, one and two day workshops at various Lancashire venues with low class numbers so there is dedicated time to support everyone in the workshop. The half day workshops are great for those wanting to try weaving for the first time, as a social and therapeutic activity with a group of friends or family, the one and two day workshops provide a more in depth experience and are suitable for those wanting to absorb themselves in the basket-making process and develop their skills further. One to one teaching provides more detailed tailor made training for the basket-maker wanting to advance their skills in traditional round, oval and square basketmaking. Gift Vouchers are available, contact Julie for more information.

Please note, weaving with willow requires good manual dexterity and hand strength, if you have arthritis or similar in your hands you will have some soreness after weaving and might not be able to manipulate the willow to ensure a neat finish to your work. There is the option of using thinner willow if you would like to go ahead and I recommend a half day rather than a full day.
